Playhouse Kate
Playhouse Kate was a one-act play put on in November 2025 as a part of the Playwrights Horizons festival. As the Art Director on the production’s creative team, I developed the show’s visual identity and brand system, directed and photographed promotional and production photoshoots, and designed graphics across digital, print, and on-site formats. I also collaborated with the director on set design conceptualization, helping translate the play’s themes into both visual language and physical space.

Project Brief
The play begins as an immersive nightclub experience and transforms into a two-woman drama following two young women battling their own romantic and personal grievances. Driven to their extremes, the two leads are forced to confront the ugliest parts of themselves when one woman drugs the other at a gay club. The play explores what it means to be a villain, what it means to be a victim, and what if, at the end of the day, we’re all just a little bit of both?
Green and pink are strong visual motifs throughout the show, with green representing Kate as a character and pink representing Anna. This would be reflected in the set, costume, and lighting design throughout the show.
